Z1U's Component/Composite Outputs

I've been searching on this topic but I can't find any information that helps.

 

On the HVR-Z1U, does the HD resolution video signal go through HDV compression prior to an analog signal being sent from the output of either the composite or component video cables?

 

Any direction on answering this question would be very helpful. Thanks

The video does NOT go through the HDV compression before going to the analog component output. There is a 14 Bit DXP signal straight from the CCD and is only converted to a "LIVE 8 Bit Signal" for the component output.
