Mike Budde
How do you turn off the AE Response on the Sony Z1U? I've found the menu feature to select the speed of the AE Response (Fast/Middle/Slow). However, there is no OFF option. Therefore, my exposure is constantly trying to adjust itself automatically. It's very frustrating. I have the Iris button selected so that i have manual control over the exposure, AND... I have the camera settings on the LOCK position. I have no idea why the exposure is still trying to correct itself automatically. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance... Thanks in advance... <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I have found that by default the "Shutter" option in manual mode is not selected. As a result it will automatically adjust the shutter speed which obviously causes slight variations in the exposure, mainly in outdoor shooting. I keep the shutter set to 50 for the majority of the time and this no longer occurs.
Premium Member Marek Stricek Posted September 26, 2005 Premium Member Share Posted September 26, 2005 I suggest that you switch the Gain to manual as well - it is the 3rd factor AE works with.
