Canon Scoopic-16 External Power Source

Hi guys,

I just ordered this camera off eBay and it came with no battery but had these cables attached to the XLR input. Is there a way I could connect these to some every day item batteries that are 12V and 6V?

Hey guys - super old thread but would super appreciate any help RE my scopic external power plug/connector 

I am trying to figure out what the plug on the camera is called or what the part no. is so that I can hook it up to a 12v V-lock battery.

I have found this product on Amazon, I think that this is the correct connector to the small 4 pin outlet on the Scopic. Could anyone confirm that the end of this Dtap to Hirose 4 Pin Male Coiled Power will work with the Scopics external power supply plug?
