Premium Member Elhanan Matos Posted September 9, 2005 Premium Member Share Posted September 9, 2005 I recently bought a Kodak Jiffy series II, the camera seems to be from the late 1930's. What I'm trying to find out is what the shuter speed is on the camera (it only has one) and the aperture (I'm assuming it has one too because I can't seem to change it). I've done a few tests with my light meter and from all my calculations I'm getting approximately an F32. If anyone knows the shutter speed on this camera it would be really helpful... also does anybody know of a good place to find 620 film? Right now the only way I can use this camera is to re-spool my 120 film onto a 620 spool.
Guest Joseph Gioielli
I don't know your camera, but here a a site that has a bit of info about it. http://licm.org.uk/livingImage/Jiffy.html I would guess the shutter to be between 30 and 50th of a second, just because a lot of the cameras I've encountered had that speed, but this is just a guess. You can get 620, but I wouldn't. It was very expensive. 120 film can be had for a couple of bucks a roll. http://www.inficad.com/~gstewart/respool.htm http://personal.cfw.com/~cdwilcox/F_620.html I've never tried trimming the spool but it should work. I've don the respooling and it really is very straight foward. The first roll may take a few tries but you'll get the hang of it. Joe
