Micro35 / M2 adapter

Has anybody here used the Micro35 adapter from Red Rock Micro?

I've been thinking of buying one to use with my Canon FD stills primes on an XL1, and eventually one of the new HD cams that have come out.  Just wondering if there are any issues people have run into...

Ive used the P+S Mini35 adaptor with a canon Xl2 and 35mm motion lenses and it looks great, the only problem i have seen (which may or may not be a feature on the red rock) is that the rotating groundglass inside the adaptor is an easy thing to forget to turn on and then you are left with a beautiful shot that looks like someone has spat all over the lense.

All the shots I've seen of the Micro 35, from their website, look really soft. I don't know if they used old lenses wide open or what, but the orginal lenses seemed to look better every time. The price is very attractive, and I would be very interested in getting one if I knew it could look better than that.
