Premium Member Greg Gross Posted September 24, 2005 Premium Member Share Posted September 24, 2005 I second the kudos and congratulations. I finally got to see a photo of him at a Panaflex. I wish I had a matt box like that one. Does this mean that he's a Panavision man? I didn't see a Panavision T-shirt. Congratulations! Premium Member Chris Cooke Posted September 24, 2005 Premium Member Share Posted September 24, 2005 I was just sitting here reading cinematography.com with one eye while glancing down at the latest American Cinematographer Magazine issue. I noticed that David Mullen is also mentioned in AC Magazine. They referred to him as "a walking encyclopedia of cinematography." No one knows that better than those of us on this site. Premium Member Greg Gross Posted September 24, 2005 Premium Member Share Posted September 24, 2005 I think we should take a day on the forum to honor David Mullen ASC for his fine efforts to educate all here about the art and craft of cinematography. We are so lucky to have a professional like him here on the forum. I'm just so happy that I finally got to see a picture of him at a Panaflex. Everyone could sort of post and tell a story about him, maybe relating to a post where he helped them. He tore into me one day and taught me what dailies are really all about. Thanks David for your tireless efforts here and for sharing your art and craft. Greg Gross

It's an entirely new area for me since I come from a totally different background but I gotta say I've learned a lot from Mr. Mullen in the last months. Actually not only from him but from his book that answered practically most of the questions on 16mm I had.
Bon Sawyer
I'm just so happy that I finally got to see a picture of him at a Panaflex. You've seen it many times before. That's the same photo as in his avatar. :) Although you didn't really see much of the Panaflex there... -Bon
