What difference does the tape make?

I'm pretty green at this, but they have so many different tapes for the FX1. a lot of different miniDV as well as HDminiDV. What difference does it make if you shoot on normal miniDV og HD miniDV tapes?

Hi,

 

The HD mini DV tapes will have less drop out. Due to the compression, drop outs on HDV are quite serious. Always use tapes from the same manufacture. Different tape manufactures have different ways of lubricating the tape, mixing them can cause head clogs.
