I foudn their factory specs, that say "Minimum Illumination - 3 lux" but that doesn't actually tell me anything useful. I'm guessing that's the illumination needed to get any picture at all with full gain turned on, just so their factory spec sound more impressive. Can anyone who has used them give me an estimate? I'm well aware of that, but I'm not trying to make any calculations. There are too many variables involved that Sony won't tell you. I'm fairly sure that their "Min. Illumination" spec is with every effort to brighten the image )wide open, gain, brightened viewfinder, etc.) but they don't tell you. I'm just looking for a ballpark, I'm not going to take a hearsay response and start metering with that number or anything. Edited November 3, 2005 by Christopher D.
