  1. 48 fps is a good way to start, is half the normal speed, from there you could adjust faster or slower in post without loosing. Just a guess. Are you going to print? Arri sr3 is my choice or if you can search for an aaton xtr prod, nice! Beware of not going to close I had almost lost two filters and a mate box on a great kick so close that I felt the wind. The wide angle shot was nice though. Good luck
  2. HI everyone I think there is a short movie I ve shot online finally, I dont know if it is only the trailer or the complete short until I fix my broad band contract but I f someone want to check it is here TNT http://tv.tntla.com/es/promos/project48/index.html the actress is vanesa bauche, she is better know by her role in amores perros a few years ago. thanks pd the short is the one marked with Mexico. cheers
  3. Commercials used to be transfered to D1 or D3 but I think those formats are on their way out leaving beta sp and Digital betacam like the most wanted. Next may be dvcam. I always use digibeta with and additional transfer to minidv. One for online other for offline editing.
  4. Cris, is this film the one produced by florlinda films?
  5. well, that is just a point o view. He was "imported" from dutch people to america many years ago, at that time he was living close from germany I think and before he was living in Bari in italy and before that he was in Turkey where he saw his first light. So he may move more than once in this strange time we live. Hey, if ALL the work can go to Argentina santa can change adress to bahamas. happy days for everyone

  7. I ve seen an arri 3 mag fall from a camera rigged on a crane. The mag rolled until hit a wall. The mag opened for maybe 2 seconds until someone throwed a jacket or something over the mag. The film was ok, Ive heard. The owner of the camera no to much I think. It was asa 200. By the way, I used the new vision 500 on 16mm and I am amazed. I was shooting with less than 1 on the lens and bounced some light because I got scared of loosing detail. I ended darkening the shot on the TK since I had too much light. Interesting. I am looking to shoot 200 asa on vision2 next time.
  8. I havent seen that movie but it is shot by Rodrigo Prieto and that would be a guarantee in my book. How was the photography work?
  9. Depends on the situation, normally I light everything by eye, I ask myself what is the mood, the intension of the scene, I think In how lighting can ruin or help the scene, how do I think it will look correct how do I want it to look. Than if its important I choose an Fstop for they key light and go on from there by eye and if its necesary I check the ratios with the lightmeter at the end. I think is more important to focus on what the light has to say and later you can meter and adjust ratos.
