  3. I'm shooting a short film next June in Ireland using Kodak Plus-X reversal (7265). Is it possible to purchase and process the film in Ireland?
  4. I've just upgraded my SBM: Super 16mm conversion by JK Camera Rod supports by ACS Matte box by Cinevate Also shown: TCS motor, 16-100 POE. Lenses consist of Switars and Nkons with JK bayonet adapter.
  5. As a variation on what Deakins did, has anyone originated in 7212 or 7245 and then blown up to 35mm and released on 5369? What interests me is originating in S16mm but achieving the finest grain 35mm b&w image possible (contrastiness is less of a concern).
  6. I'm curious if there are others who would agree with John that 7265 represents improved image quality over the old 7276. I've heard favorable comments about 7266 improvements, but my experience (based on shooting just one test role) is that 7265 is noticeably grainier and lacks the distinctive contrasty snap of 7276. I shot a short last year on 7276 that was blown up to 35mm by Alpha Cine and with such spectacular results I have to say that some folks could be easily fooled into thinking that it originated in 35mm. And now I'm assuming that it would be impossible to replicate that look with the current stocks available.
  7. I'm interested in any recommendations regarding who does the best Bolex S16 conversions in the U.S. I have an SBM and prefer to stay with the Bolex bayonet mount. Or is the best option to send it to Les in Wales? Serge
