  1. Thanks David, I have not tried cleaning the heads, that will be something I'll do, but I have played the tapes on anothe player and another camera and they still have the same vertical pixellated line. what is strange is that I have recorded tapes before and after and in between these two problem tapes and have not had the problem show up. Thanks, I'll go ahead and try the head cleaner.
  2. Wondering if anyone here can help diagnose this sporadic issue, two event recordings have been ruined because of it, at one event...the 1st tape I shot was perfect the 2nd was bad. The other event, the recording was bad all the way through..... but a week before I shot two other events and there were no problems. A vertical strip (1/4 inch wide) of pixellation appears on the right hand side of the video. Figured its better to show folks, so the link below sends you to a clip I made of one of the bad recordings. it is a quicktime file. http://www.home.earthlink.net/~yoyodl/xl1videoproblem.html Any help would be appreciated. Johann
