  1. 999.- Euro plus insured postage (and possibly VAT). TV logic monitor VFM-058W, 5.46" lcd full hd viewfinder. Bought on the 27-5-2015 at bandpro Munich. Minty in original box with all standard accessories. I have used this monitor about 4 days in the field only, and for monitoring footage, about 50 hrs altogether. I found it still too big for my purposes and it slowed me down too much so I ended up using the camera viewfinder instead... It comes with a clever custom made sunshade which can quickly be unfold and which protects the screen when fold down without being bulky. If weight is not an issue, P+S builds an excellent and affordable viewfinder loupe for this monitor so you´ll get a highend full HD viewfinder. I´ll include a copy of the invoice so you could use the guarantees. Buyers from the EU have to provide me with an international VAT number, otherwise I´ll add 19% of German VAT. tobias@tmfilmpro.com http://www.ebay.de/itm/291577731317?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1555.l2649
  2. 999.- Euro net plus postage (plus VAT if you are German or European and cannot provide me with a valid international VAT number) B4 to PL S-16 sensor size adapter Abakus Scientific 132 superb sample Sony and MTF relabel this one For Sony F5 F55 2K/HD window, RED windowed, BMPCC, more from Black Magic, GH4 in 4K, Bolex Digital... A cherry picked superb sample from Abakus, I checked it in projection with my Canon HJ 18x28 and saw no quality loss. Results are simply stunning with a lens that good and will blow away most native S16 lenses. Bought in 2009 it is a real HD generation converter and coatings have to my knowledge not changed since. Rear and front lens pristine, a little bit of dust inside, signs of use on the body (see images). Sony and MTF (and I think RED used to) probably relabel this brillant adapter from Abakus Scientific and then charge way more (B&H lists both Sony and MTF with 3500USD). Im selling because I also have the IB/E 35. 14 day right to return. tobias@tmfilmpro.com http://www.ebay.de/itm/-/291577743829?

  4. Oconnor 1030 D fluid head - 3129 USD, 2499 Euro, plus postage, plus - for Europe - VAT. Previous model. No handgrip/handle, 150mm base. It is in full working condition functioning like new, but definitely has signs of use. I bought it in 2009 for heavy ENG equipment and used it for my productions only (no rental). I´m selling because it is too heavy for most of my applications now as I have downsized most of my gear. The dovetail was not used at all as I had my own custom made Sachtler europlate system put on instead (like on Sachtler Video 18). Mail me if interested (700.- extra). The counterbalance wheel has a lot of friction but was like this when new, too. Panning and tilting is way smoother than most other fluid heads. 14 day right to return. tobias@tmfilmpro.com
  5. B4 to S-16 adapter Abakus Scientific 132 - EUROPE (Germany) - 1749 USD or 1399 Euro plus postage and in Europe plus VAT Sony, MTF (and I think RED used to) relabel this brillant adapter from Abakus Scientific and then charge a lot more (B&H lists both with 3500USD). For Sony F5 F55 2K/HD window, RED windowed, BMPCC, GH4 in 4K, Bolex Digital... A cherry picked superb sample from Abakus, I checked it in projection with my Canon HJ 18x28 and saw no quality loss. Results are simply stunning with a HD lens that good. Bought in 2009 it is the latest HD generation converter and coatings have to my knowledge not changed since. Rear and front lens pristine, a little bit of dust inside, signs of use on the body (see images). 14 day right to return, net price. tobias@tmfilmpro.com
  6. Canon C300 complete package, very low running time, I used about 22 64GB cards only, bought in march 2012, with latest sensor block sealing. Available from August 20th, 7 900.- EURO net plus postage from Germany via dhl. I sell because I upgrade to 4K. tobias@tmfilmpro.com
  7. Angenieux Cinestyle 11.5x5.3 superb sample This is a real Angenieux film lens which was modified for digital cinematography (2/3 HD). Can be used with a S-35 adapter or a S-16 adapter (on sale, too) for the latest one chip cameras. I bought it in 2006, my German dealer turned down 3 samples and gave me the 4th one after he had seen the measurement protocols (I had ordered on the premise that my lens would be as good as the demo lens). Price was 18 600.- net. It is really an excellent, selected sample, very sharp and great colours. The colour separation and reproduction and build quality IMO puts to shame the Canons and Fujinons, and the iris has 8 blades for nice sunstars. It has the famous Angenieux qualities from the film (not video!) lens department. Angenieux stopped production because they said they´d not earn enough from it. Complete with sunshade, all covers, meter scale and unused feet scale. The lens has signs of use on the body, but the lenses and the lens system is clean apart from some minute oil droplets in the periphery of one lens which is not visible on the images and a phenomenon I know from Zeiss, too. The zoom ring is a bit dry but the focus ring is perfectly velvety smooth. I price the lens accordingly so an extra service could be afforded. I sell it because I´m on S-35 now and always have to keep the weight down. Between the short wideangle and the Canon 18x28 the Angenieux has become somewhat redundant. One producer commented that in a 6 team project my lens was clearly the best wideangle zoom... 6999.- EURO NET plus postage from Germany with dhl. tobias@tmfilmpro.com
  8. Hello, I put up on ebay some rare specialty items from my past film times. Located in Germany. Elite S-16mm/T1.3 first rate superwideangle lens Ebay item no. 290756355997 Abakus Scientific B4 to S-16 132 Converter AWESOME Ebay item no. 290756343936 Tobin Milliframe Controller TMC for Arriflex SR etc. Ebay item no. 290756334608 Canon 150-600L with universal mount and Nikon F, Canon EF and Pl mount adaptors Ebay item no. 290756280221 Elite S-16mm/T1.3 first rate superwide Optically first rate superwideangle by Elite Optika (St. Petersburg, www.optica-elite.com). No. S98207P02. Front lens minty with some very tiny cleaning marks (hard to see and invisible in images). Rear lens very good with one small damage far outside the image circle (16:9). Lenses very clean and clear, very little dust. Mechanically usable, but could really use a good service - 0.5mm play between front- and rear part of housing, aperture ring with little friction except between T2 and T1.3 - stiff there. Focussing ring with a lot of friction, a bit dry. The lens gives extremely sharp images with clear blacks under difficult backlit conditions. Wonderful sun star. Very good edge performance. Elite claims a resolution of 200Lp/mm for the center and 140 Lp/mm for the edge. List price new for the successor models 6.6mm 3400.- Euro, 8mm 2450.- Euro. First rate affordable superwides remain rare. This is one. A modern lens, completely unlike old N16 wideangles!!! Abakus Scientific B4 to S-16 132 Converter Converts 2/3 HD B4 lenses to pristine S-16. Superb quality, a selected sample. Optically like new. Some signs of use on the body. Bought in 2009 and used on 3.5 rolls of film. It´s the latest HD version of the converter! The quality is awesome and just blows away most S-16 zooms if you use a good HD lens. I checked it with the Canon 18x28 and saw no quality difference in the Chrosziel projection with or without converter. Tobin Milliframe Controller TMC for Arriflex SR etc. The fantastic variable speed unit which gives quarzed speeds up to the milliframe on Arri SRs and other cameras. With Fisher plug. Around 550 USD new, out of production, very rare. Technically in perfect conditions with some signs of use. Canon 150-600L with universal mount and Nikon F, Canon EF and Pl mount adaptors The legendary supertelezoom, allegedely only 1050 samples were built, most of which went into the film industry (where they were only superseded by the 75 000 USD 12kg Angenieux 24-290 with 2x extender). It was the most expensive FD lens ever built. SN 10565. The body shows strong signs of use, the front lens is in very good condition with faint cleaning marks, the rear lens is mint, was always protected by inbuilt filter. Internal lenses with some dust and cleaning marks. I had the inner system cleaned by the official FD service in Germany about 10 years ago and did not use the lens very much since. The mechanical system - aperture, zoom and focussing is faultless and operation is very fast. Image quality is very good, very sharp pictures from open aperture, very little improvement with stopping down (tested on a 10MP FourThirds Chip, corresponding to 40MP or 8K Full Frame 36x24mm). This sample is so much better than a second one I tested and resolves at 500/5.6 much better than my Sigma 50-500 stopped down 1.5 stops. The Sigma image looks more contrasty on first sight (rough edge contrast) but the fine details are totally smeared and unsharp. With the Canon I add a bit of contrast in postproduction and the images are perfect and highly resolving. Contact me for image samples. I sell the lens because I now use a small Canon HD zoom which is better for wildlife filming on location. Specialties: - Custom made universal mount, top quality Made in Germany by Mr. Dresel, 60mm focal flange universal mount (an expensive transformation from FD!), a Canon FD chrome ring attaches the adapters superbly. Comes with Nikon F custom made adapter, an Nikon F - Canon EF adapter, and a custom made PL mount adapter. Other adapters can easily be made as the lens was transfered to 60mm focal flange. - Bottom plate was reinforced with aluminum plate. - Small hole in the sunshade - Small hole in the body, closed by tape. Through this hole a small screw which moves in the zoom curve can easily be tightened occasionally which otherwise can become loose and damage the optics (which happened). Ingenious. Regards, Tobias
  9. My link Panasonic AJ-HDX900E with BW viewfinder AJ-HVF21G EUROPEAN VERSION! I am the first owner, camera was bought in 2006, was never rented out. Strong signs of use, but technically without fault. Has never let me down, not even at -40°C. Image quality is simply more beautiful than the average Sony - many DoPs agree on that. DVCProHD is official format of the London Olympic Games 2012! I sell because for my next projects the camera is simply too heavy. Operation 1010h Drum running 540h Threading 19722 The viewfinder was probably used less than 50 hrs, mostly I worked with an external monitor. It just fits! Use specialty Nikon F mount lenses with minimal optical loss on a 2/3 camera. My favourites were Nikon Micro 70-180 and Sigma 50-500. 850.- net extra. Price includes German Sales Tax (19%) which will be shown on invoice. For EU buyers who provide their valid international sales tax number the price is reduced to 4900.-, same as for buyers from outside the EU.

Specialties: - SR3 registration pin installed in 2006 by GeckoCam Munich, camera has a very good steadiness (about 1/800 image height and width) both at 25 and 100F/s. - !!!! Arri Wideangle Eyepiece (from BL4) - absolutely superb eyepiece, essential for S-16! - Buy with an option on the fabulous Tobin Milliframe Controller for 450 Euro extra - all frame rates quartz controlled. - Buy with an option on an optically excellent 7mm/1.3 Elite lens for 990.- Euro extra. Excellent and affordable superwides like this one are extremely rare. - Option on excellent, selected Abakus Converter B4 HD 2/3 to PL S-16. Image quality of HD lenses is transferred to S-16 almost lossless with phase correction and bigger image circle. 1000.- Euro. More details: I bought the camera 12 years ago minty from ZDF (German TV), where it had only be used for small staff schooling projects. I only shot about 4000 Minutes of film with it. Never rented out. Very good techical condition, always serviced. - Very low mileage for an SR2!!! No worn out rental camera. - Denz S-16 modification from 2004 (www.denz-deniz.com). That is, a new S-16 mirror instead of a modified curve for the movement. That combined with good servicing and an SR3 registration pin allows to use the camera with 100F/s occasionally, without needing a much louder and less reliable HS SR. - Denz focussing screen 1.78 and 14:9 marks, about 2 stops brighter than the Arri screen (Denz claimed). - Denz 70:30 beam splitter (70%viewfinder, 30% assist) - Custom made videoassist, with an optical system integrated in the handgrip and a very small camera, powered via the SR. Not for critical work but ok for occasional use with a crane/remote. Arri SR VAs should fit, too, if you take of the handgrip and attach the Arri system. - All magazines have been modified like P+S Munich does. I had never had an issue with scratches etc. since. - A very silent camera! Includes: Everything on the pictures apart from the 7mm lens. - SR2 body - 5 mags S-16 modified, one with a HS pressure plate, with new friction felts, 2 metal spools each, 4 plastic caps - Arri VSU with a modified, better Potentiometer for more stable variable speeds (I recommend the Tobin MFC though, as it gives quartz control) - Arri SR viewfinder extension -2 Arri chargers type NCL SR3 2 batteries, have to be recelled - I only use Vmount Li batteries which are compatible with HD cameras - adapter piece battery to camera - arri bellows vintage - support rods - Arri handgrip without release - Videoassist custommade with optic and aperture integrated into the handgrip - 2 BNC cable, about 25m each, for remote applications (not pictured).
  12. Hello, is anyone interesting in teaming up with me for Arriflex 3 3perf conversion? If four people or so were interested, I´d ask Bruce from arandafilm My link again for 3perf conversions. Should be around 4000USD per camera. He´d have to order parts or make tools to make them, so officially arandafilm is not doing 3perf anymore, only 2perf, which is too restricted for my use because I am mainly interested in 1.78. 13. Watching the bluray of "The Fox and the girl" (2007) I was struck in awe how fantastic the images looked. Amazing colours and bokeh. Anybody out there who knows about lenses and film stock they used? Apart from Angenieux 24-290 they must have used lenses with an oldfashioned six bladed aperture - Zeiss standards or superspeeds? Fuji stock??? How did they make it look so gorgeous? (Shame the plot is not convincing). There are also about 5 minutes of HD footage which look significantly worse than the rest...
  14. Hello, I´m considering purchasing an A-minima package, please make offers. Tobias Mennle, tobias.mennle@web.de
  15. Hello, this lens, a very good sample, is now on ebay, article No. 290284738313 Best regards, Tobias Mennle
  16. My Canon is on sale now on ebay, Item Number 290191617674. It is a very good sample of a very good lens type. I was surprised recently how much better it looked in projection than Zeiss 11-110 let alone the Optex/Zeiss conversion. If you are planning to shoot S-16 or the RED in 2K mode and need a quality zoom, this might be the lens for you. Best regards, Tobias Mennle
  17. Sure, because you want to sell the new ones, and I want to sell my old one
  18. Alain, the ground glass is not marked at all but covers the 1.66 frame. I mean, S16 is 1.66 full frame and that is what you see.
  19. I´m talking about the new Canon S16 10.8-180. I talked to a German dealer today and he claimed the new Canon S-16 zooms are a complete desaster, both the short and the long one. He has 5 customers who need s-16 zooms but they all refuse the new Canons because of bad optical quality.
  20. Arriflex SR2 S-16 Super 16 package with latest registration pin model Package $14900 Arriflex SR2 body no. 63753 S-16 ? latest registration pin, very steady up to 100F/s! 3 mags, S-16 modification 3 on board batteries with camera plug, need to be recelled 2 Arri chargers for on board batteries Video assist colour, custom made, in handle Arri variable speed unit, modified, with better potentiometer, max. speed 120F/s 15mm Arri rods with extension Test film steadiness Extras: Arri wide angle eyepiece, $1000, only sold with package Viewfinder extension, $950 2 mags, one HighSpeed, S-16 converted, serviced, $900 each I sell because I had to change to HD. The camera and mags show signs of use, and they have been used and never let me down. I had the latest registration pin model installed in 2006, it cost almost $1700 at geckocam Munich, Georg Bogner did the job, he´s the German SR guru. This pin is a bit bigger than the old one to better fit the new film emulsions. Now the camera is very steady up to 100F/s (I did not test above) and fulfills Arri specifications. I would not use an SR without the new registration for today´s critical work any more, the difference in steadiness is overwhelming. The camera is very quiet. S-16 conversion was performed by Peter Denz/Munich (denz-deniz.com) 3 years ago. The fibre screen is from Denz showing 1.78 HDTV with 2 smaller marks for 14:9. Denz claims it´s 2 stops brighter than the Arri screens. The pin left to the fisher pin was converted for powering the video assist. Camera history: I bought it about 7 years ago from ZDF (german TV station), so I´m sure this camera has been serviced regularly from the beginning. The magazines were converted to S-16 by my technician, analogue to the P+S conversion. I had no problems after that conversion. They have just been serviced and have new friction felts. 3 on board batteries; I strongly recommend new cells. If I were to use the SR in the future, I´d get someone to make me an adapter for Vmount lithium batteries, the Chinese models are ok and so cheap. 2 Arri chargers ? because what do you do if one fails during the shoot? The video assist is custom made, colour, the smallest I´ve ever seen. I used it for remote and crane applications. It is ok for framing a shot with a wide angle, but not for critical work with focus pulling. But the camera is prepared for other video assists, it has a 70:30 beamsplitter, and you could put all the Arri, P+S etc. SR video assists on it instead of the handle. The Arri VSU was modified with a better, more stable potentiometer with a slighly higher speed range. I used the camera with 100F/s a couple of times and I don´t believe this is a problem. Arri 15mm rods with extension Test film steadiness, 25 and 100F/s, for 3 mags I´ll include 3 rolls of older Kodak emulsions I have in the freezer for testing purposes, if you like. Extras: The eyepiece is an Arri one ? I guess the one which came out with the BL3 and it´s so much more comfortable to work with a wide-angle eyepiece in S-16. It looks very used from outside but the optics are almost perfect. I only sell it with the package. The viewfinder extension looks used, optics are very good. I live in Germany and I ship worldwide. You have a one week return option ? no questions asked - but postage and customs is completely at your expense. European union buyers will have to add 19% VAT if they can´t provide a valid European tax number. Pictures and more information available via e-mail: tobias (dot) mennle (at) web (dot) de
  21. Bolex H16 SBM S-16 Super 16 with PL mount adapter Camera No. 351793, S-16 SBM-PL mount adapter custom made (parts by Bolex and P+S) 120m magazin Motor MM fader package $2200 Extras: Tobin Timelapse motor TCS TTL and cable for motor MM, $350 Tobin TXM-20B chrystal motor for Bolexes (12,15,24,30,48 F/s) and cable for motor MM, $350 ? 20% discount if you take both motors with the package. No. 351793. The viewfinder is the better type (magnification). The camera was converted to S-16 by German technician Mr. Pitterling who did a lot of Bolex conversions and worked for many years as a camera technician. He claimed his tolerances were tighter than the ones specified by Bolex. The camera is technically in a very good condition and shows some signs of use. I used it for about 15 minutes of timelapses with the fantastic Tobin motor. Both Tobin motors have hardly been used and are in a very good condition ? almost like new.
  22. Canon 11.5-138mm/T2.5 PL for S16 Super 16 and fit for HD $10500. Nr. 10108. PL mount. I sell because I´m filming on HD now. The lens had a complete service (cleaning, lubrification, adjustment, checking, collimation) on 10-8-2006 which cost almost $1000 and I haven´t used it since. Service was performed by Manfred Wittl/Chrosziel Munich who is probably the most renowned person in Germany for film and videolens service. Wittl claimed ?this lens is really a very good one within the series?. I can´t see any scratches or imperfections on both the front- and backlens. Inside, the glass is very clean. Mechanically, the lens is without fault. Everything moves smoothly just like it should be. The outer parts of the lens show signs of use. This zoom is the most robust one I have ever used. The history of my sample: I bought it in 2003 from FGV Schmidle in Munich, which is a rental company with a very good reputation. I used the lens till spring 2006. Many DoPs claim this is the best of the long Canon Zooms and it is very much in use. 11.5-165 is not better, 10.8-180 is definitely worse ? so Wittl and another lens technician claimed. A colleague of mine refused to buy a 10.8-180 because edge performance was so bad. The German dealer for Canon zooms confirmed these problems. He had complained to Canon about it, and the answer was something like ?That´s the way the lens is constructed, we can´t change it?. Another technician said that the first few samples were excellent and then Canon changed the optics. The lens weighs under 2kg and handles very well. 4x4 inch filters are sufficient (compare this to the Angenieux counterpart). Close focus is 1.1m which I used often and the performance is very good. Distortion is visible moustache at the wide end and pincushion at the long end. Flare and ghosts are well controlled, especially at the wide end. Centre resolution is around 200LP/mm. I had some of my material filmed with this lens telecined to HD and it looked great. Colours are perfect, and bokeh (softness of unsharp areas) is excellent. I live in Germany and I´m willing to ship worldwide. I could send the lens to a trustworthy service company where you could check it under supervision and have the option to send it back to me within one week if you should not like it. This fee and postage is at your expense. European union buyers will have to add 19% VAT if they can´t provide a valid European tax number. The lens is ready for inspection here, too. Pictures and more information available via e-mail: tobias (dot) mennle (at) web (dot) de
  23. Forget about the switars, get a PL mount adapter for Bolex bayonet and use PL lenses. It works fine. In my opinion, today the Bolex is a specialist camera for timelapse with Arri SRs being so reasonably priced. I mean, if you can´t afford to buy or rent a simple Arri or Aaton kit, you can´t afford 16mm. Film, lab, HD telecine, that´s the expensive stuff.
  24. Interesting information, I totally agree both on higher resolution in 1080 and on 60p. 60p looks like video if you are looking at it at, well, 60F/s. But if you´re shooting with 180° shutter, and watch at 25F/s, it should be a filmlike timelapse. And if you film 50p with open shutter you have both options, timelapse and filmlike 25F/s without complicated pulldowns. That is cool. I´m glad 50p in "real time" looks so videoish - I don´t have to wait for 1080/50p which is sometimes advertised as the holy grail of HD.
