    Time Lapse

Looking on advice on shooting a time lapse sequence. I will be shooting our building frontage which has a large world globe structure in the front of the entrance with the building entrance in the far background. The sun will rise from my back side and set with the camera lens facing the sun. I'm thinking I will have some serious exposure issues, color balancing, as well as lighting changes in which the building and globe has it's own exterior lighting system. I plan on beginning shooting as early as sunrise and time lapsing into the night. Total length of take is approximately 12 seconds. I was hoping to achieve the effect of "tracing" from the lights on the cars when it turns into night...The globe also has pin lights which identify the various locations of the company. I can send freeze of the building in an attachment if needed... Any advice would be appreciated! Thanks

    Digiprimes

Could someone please inform me of "Digiprimes"...It was referenced in 2 responses and I'm not familiar with what that is... Thanks
  5. Could you please inform of "Digiprimes"...I read an posting earlier that recommended "Zeiss Digiprime" Is it a lens, filter? Thanks
  6. Thank you very much for your response...as I become more familiar with the camera, I'm sure this information will be very useful...BTW: Your demos on your website are incredible. Was any of that material shot with the SDX900? It looked to me like 35mm...Awesome work!
  7. Sorry for the weak descriptive "frame delay"...the picture is "stuttering"? or maybe "flickering"? especially on pan and tilt shots... The deck I'm using is a Panasonic AJSD93 (firewire) Thanks for the response
  8. Just got my camera about 2 weeks ago...Recently shot subject on green screen in 60i...OK material but I'm not satisfied...I hope the goodman's guide will be helpful...I need info on shooting in 24p...I test shot some footage and I'm getting a serious "frame delay" look. ALSO...I edit in Final Cut Pro 5.0 and was unable to capture the 24p footage...Any suggestions???
  9. Thanks for the information! MikeFalg
  10. Well, here I go...Be carefull what you ask for...you just might get it. I work in corporate video and our company has decided to expand from DV to DVCPRO50 (Panasonic SDX900)...My editing platform is Mac Based (Final Cut Pro 5.0.4). We we're primarily a resourse for training but Marketing is coming into the picture more and more. I'm trying to research some data before my gear arrives and I'm getting nervous about potential configuration issues. We are also purchasing an AJ-SD93P Deck (Firewire capable). The camera set-up appears to be somewhat itimidating at this point. First Question, (of what I'm sure is many more to come)...The difference of Progressive vs. Interlace and it's relationship to picture quality?
