I was told using the HD/SDI output on the Viper I could judge my lighting off the monitor and it would be accurate. Since this output isn't 4:4:4 I am skeptical that it will be a good representative of the image. Has anyone else done this? thanx

Around 700 fc. The light would be just far enough from a 4x4 bounce to use the whole board. I need it for a large key on an actor and a car turned longways. I was planning on using the sun as a 3/4 backlight. Other suggestions welcome. thanks

Is there a way to approximate the foot candles a light puts off when bounced off a white surface? I'm trying to determind how many footcandles a 12k HMI would give off when bounced off foamcore. The subject would be about 15ft away from the bounce. Thanks
