Hi, First mMake sure you install the patch that's on the site for download. I had problems figuring this program out as well, finally i managed to get it to work. Here's how I did it: 1. open the fimstrip to process (I used the demo scan from the website) with file/open 2. select the appropriate filmtype (regular8 or super8) clicking the corresponding button 3. press the scroll-up button and get the 1st frame in view with the right scrollbar if needed 4. click and drag a selection window covering the 1st frame 5. press scroll-down button 6. click and drag a selection window covering the last frame (the first and last frame should now be visible in the right hand corner of the screen) 7. press the "save frames" buttons to start the process of extracting all frames in the scanned filmstrip to separate bmp or jpg files. 8. press the "make avi" button to create an avi file from the individual bmp/jpg files you just created. My reservations: - you need a scanner with at least 4800 dpi optical scanning resolution to get a decent result - You need to scan a lot of filmsegments using an ordinary scanner (I estimate 50 - 75 scans for a 50ft reel) - I can imagine the end result will jitter because you select frames by eye (I haven't tried more than one strip) Hope this might help
