  1. I want to buy a teleprompter because I am going to make a series of short videos. I see a number of them available for under $2000 and wonder if anyone has tried any of them and what you thought? I plan to get a 15" screen for easy reading, plan to use it mostly indoors, but might do some outside shooting, and have a Mac laptop. Also, on one shoot, I saw someone use something that looked like a small rheostat to adjust the speed of the teleprompter, but have not seen anything like this for sale. Can someone tell me what this is called and where I can get it? Appreciate your help in this matter.
  2. I will be taping two guys playing one on one on an indoor half court. The industrial high energy lights way up on the ceiling beam straight down, so there is not much light on their sides. How can I beam some fill light to brighten things up? Are there any inexpensive lights that would fill this purpose? The camera will be about 10-15 feet away from them.

  4. I am interested in using the Smooth Slow Motion feature, which records at 200+ fields per second and then plays back at 60 fields/sec for a few seconds to videotape and analyze golf swings. But to do that, I need to be able to use a shutter speed of !,000th second, and play back frame-by-frame. I have not been able to find out from the Sony website or store whether or not you can use a fast shutter and frame by frame playback on Smooth Slow Motion. Does anyone have one of these cameras (3-7) who can check theirs to see if this can be done? I want to confirm before purchase. Thanks.
  5. I am looking for an HD camcorder that has frame-by-frame playback. I videotape golfers to analyze their swing. Am currently using a Canon XL-1 but want to go to HD for better image quality. Any feedback appreciated.
  6. I will be shooting waterfalls and raging rivers for an art film next week and was looking for any tips for this type of shoot. I will be using my XL H1.
