Im looking for an used SonyF55, or an alexa mini, no more than 2000 hours ... with viewfinder, batteries, bridgeplate, card memories, etc..
and may be a set of cooke minis4...
In Miami would be better, cause we are not from USA.
Just deciding what to buy..
-
Hi, is there a webpage in miami, were you can find used equipment ? for exalmple, a set of cooke lenses, a mini alexa, or an F55?
-
Thanks!

A collegue told me this filters when receiving a flare, turns the blacks into red. This is true? Cause Tiffen allways turn the image slight green when you sum up ND's. Which is the best way for not having this problem?
-
HI, Why does the lens flare (line) is blue?
Whats the real difference when comparing Panavision anamorfic lenses with another brand?
Cause I heard that some lenses, (not Panavision) in their construction, has only one optical element only, so you don't get the real flare or a "cool" flare as Pana optcis do..

Hi, Im shooting a commercial with the Sony FS7. Any recomendation? What do you think about this camera?
I read is a 2000asa based sensibility. Do you recommend shooting with 2000?

You can use them with anything the puts out a DMX 512 signal. A lighting console, A DMX-it, a Pocket Console, A Luminiar iPad App with appropriate hardware, your laptop with appropriate hardware, etc, etc.
Best
Tim
WHen you say:"A lum.. (...) hardware". Which hardware are you talking about?

Hi! I was reading all about Kinofloo's celeb DMX tech. Does anyone knows, if the only way to use the DMX tech of the celeb's is throught a lighting console? or you can "plug them" into your notebook by some "sistem" or light equipment and using an application?

Can I ask, the shot at :36
what were you doing with filtration/optically for this effect?
Yes sure! ...
an old 41/2 size split diopeter +1/2 on taped on to lens

I second Tyler's statement. Great work.
I only see one problem with the reel.
It seems that most of the reel is commercial work at the beginning.
I think some of the work at the end would be better fitted in the
beginning somewhere. The beginning looks a bit homogeneous.
It would be nice to have a mixture of different lighting styles
and film looks right off the bat, showing off your versatility.
You might look into having one reel for commercial work and
another only for narrative work, which might help with that.
That way you could also keep it as short as possible.
But again, the photography looks great man.

Thanks! Yes I know what you are talking about. At first I thought to edit 2 different reels... I will consider your opinion.. thanks again!

Yea, not much to critic there! Loved all of it! :)
You're a very talented cinematographer Matias.
Thanks!!

Nice job Matias, looks great. I love the coloring as well.
Thanks..! we spent 11 days in coloring the film...

Cool vibe. Those opening window shots are great.
Thank you, It was hard and enjoyable to accomplish that..

Very nice imagery. I like the fact that there is no dialogue, but I would tighten it up a bit to about a minute or ninety-seconds tops. It almost feels like a stand-alone music video with the length you have it at, right now.
thanks! I will consider the one minute teaser...
-
Avoid shooting midday, perhaps you can rehearse the shot and shoot in the best moments of light, in the extremes... there you'll have a very nice light...

This is a teaser I made with the best shots I considered from the feature film...

and what does the "opal" does to the light vs a normal difussion?
-
If you have to compare this 2 diffusions: 215 vs opal frost, which I think they diffuse the shadow very similar, what would be the difference in the quality of light throught it?
-
Thank you all!!

Hi , I am reading AC sept 2015, the note of Mr Libatique "street Knowledge", where he used Anamorphic and spherical lenses, and he says this : ..." we'd switch to spherical lenses if necessary, beacause the spread of a wide spherical lens is totally different than the spread of a wide anamorfic" What does he mean?
-
Hi! What can you tell me about this set of lenses? Cause Im probably shooting a feature film, and would like to try them.
Another doubt: In the rental they have 28 35 45 55 65 80 110 140. As Im shooting in anamorphic eith alexa XT, the 28 equals a 14mm UP? and so on each lense?
So the 140 is 70 mm?
How is the comparision with a normal set of ultraprime or Cooke s4?
ANd another doubt, as I need a 200mm or a 300mm, wich brand do you recommend to match as more as posible to the resolution and quality of the Hawks? DO you think an optimo 24-290 Is ok?
buy an alexa mini

Do you have a list of prices of all the equipment you have? Cause me and my partner, are analizing what to buy. For ex, if a set of Hawk anamorphic lenses appear's with a good price, perhaps we go for it...
