hi Im going to shot an ultra independet feature film as DOP ! ... the producition offered me to shoot with a 60D or a T2i . Which one do you think its the best choice to do it? cause they are similar to a 7D ...

and another doubt : I have a marshall conecnted to the 60D and when I put to record in the camera, the image from the marshall dissapears, it goes black in the monitor ... and not in the T2i ... Do you know why ?

this is how finally I decided to work the station ... using the fluos of the station , I only turned off one to give some imperfection to the scene.. and lit the gilr with a 1200 hmi cuting the light with flags just to her ... and a 2.5 hmi to the rails ... we set the camera to 5500 K and add a little of green , but not to much ...

Hi ! yesterdat I shot some test with this camera at 30fps and the best resoluc. 12 o'clock midday , sun on top in a swimming pool . Problem : otuside water the image is perfect but underwater, the image comes out very soft ... really really soft kind of out of focus and can't find the focus anywhere ( not near not far ) ...

Talk to a friend of mine, and told me its strange...

somebody knows why?

could be cause of the sun? the water was clear ... the walls of the swimming pool are light blue ...

its not uploaded in the best resoluc, but its aprox as I see it in my monitor..

sorry I just need to know this : 35mm 4 perf 120 mts is aprox 4min 20 secs.. ,

35 mm 3 perf 120 mts , how much time is? could be 5 min 30 sec? do you know if there is a table?

well, im shooting in 3 perf next week, and need the table with the info of relation between , time duration and mts "running" ... how much time is a 120 mts with 3 perf x ex...! thanks !

the first image is the station . the photo was taken at... 1 pm aprox... I worked it out in cs4 , and got this result, which is the one, the directors want's... asi Im an amature in DP .. I wan't to ask : to light the station light in the image, should i use the kino floos flathead image 80 ( 10 fluos ) or, can I use a smaller source? or what do you think I can use to produce that soft light effect?

ok ! , just one question, if I balance under a 3200 light to get white so that i get all the blue from the kinos, then , from 3200 camera balance I redo the balance using a magenta filter so I get more green ... what do you thin happens with the red? cause, i have a lady waiting in the train station with a red jumper ...

one more question ! , If want to make a fluorescent light fliker continously as it had problem in the functioning ... do you know how? sbdy told me tu turn down the dimmer...

we don't have the station yet, but I hope wet get one with fluorescent lights ! A friend of mine told me to make white balance with a minus green / magenta filter, so the image will get green ... what do you think?

hi ! Im shooting a short with a P2 with Letus . Were are going to shoot in a train station at night . I want to light the place with kino floo, and I want to have a green image ... Should I put green in the lights , or its better to do it in post?

finally a friend of mine who is focus puller in Francem and whose husband was the escenogrpher in that movie , told me the focus puller is Olivier Fortin , and they used the tilt & shift and the baby lens system...! thanks !

The Diving Bell and the Butterfly comes to mind really quickly in terms of how focus was used to mimic a condition.

Hi... a friend who is profesor in the university here, asked me if I can go and talf about my experience and also everything refered to the focus ( not so technical : not formulas.. etc ) ... so I decided I can show some cool examples about filmes or takes , where the focus was used for telling something, or hiding sth ... or perhaps very dificult pulling focus in takes of known films... thanks !
