which is better... panasonic pv gs65 or sony dcr trv22? they both have an additional input for a mic right?

I just bought a canon xl1s off of ebay from a seller with great feedback. When I turn it on and look through the viewfinder it will focus and then out of nowhere not even 5 sec later blur horribly (a pulsating blur, in and out). Is this something that I set wrong on the camera or did this person drop the camera and now it is a mechanical problem???

I have just purchased my first real camcorder: the Panasonic AG-DVX100B and I am now on my way to start shooting my first small documentary!!!! I would like to know if anyone knows what the best microphone to hook up to the camera would be so I have a nice crisp clean sound. I dont want there to be an echo when someone talks. Any suggestions would be great! Thank you

what is the difference between the dvx100 and dvx100a?

Hello I am new to the filmmaking industry and I am shooting a short documentury for broadcast television. I am looking to purchase a panasonic ag-dvx100 what are your opinions on this? There are so many cameras out there, it is so hard to choose. Do you think this camera will be ok for me? (Quality wise)
