  1. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...em=330130500359 here's the link again.. messed up the first time.
  2. Just wanted to let you guys know that I'm selling my Konvas 2M. I put it up on Ebay here:
  3. Anyone have accurate ideas of what a production company typically charges a company for a 30 second spot? This is assuming the production company comes up with the concept, story, idea, films it, edits it, does all the post.. everything: the company gets a finished 30 second spot (35MM). What does an average "no frills" company charge? What does a "better" company with more "interesting ideas" and better "composition" charge? Thanks! Sy edit: lol just realized i put 39 second spot in the title. rest assured, I meant 30 seconds :P
  4. there a resource anywhere that shows, with pics maybe, how to hook up exactly (the wiring etc) the powersource to a battery?
  5. will this work? http://www.adorama.com/BOX672.html If you have any suggestions, let me know.. Sy
  6. Thanksfor the informative post. One question: How do I rate the film myself? If I have 200T... I shouldn't use that rating, but one I come up wit myself? If so, how?
  7. .. but I'm a true beginner when it comes to f/stops. is there a basic guide somewhere that ties it all together? example: so.. i'd take a reading with the light meter.. i assume it'll spit out some numbers... now then, i have 250 daylight film.., how do i then figure out what f/stop to use? is there a guide somewhere that walks a newbie through this complete process? thanks!
  8. interesting.. i may look into this for my konvas.
  9. thank you olex, i think i'm beginning to understand now. so i will need one of these: http://www.batterywholesale.com/battery-st....html?prodID=62 and one of these to charge it? http://www.maplin.co.uk/Module.aspx?Module...C=SEO&U=mlp I think it will make the most sense when I actually have the camera in my hands.
  10. Kevin, I'll look into that. Although Olex's post seems informative, it almost confuses me more! (no offense Olex). What do you know about this battery system I'm getting? I'm mostly concerned about the plug.. will I need to get an adaptor for American 3-pin plugs? If so, which one?
  11. So... the battery that comes with this kit is insufficient? And concerning the power connectors, do I need some sort of conversion cord or something to plug into standard Western Three-Prong plugs (plug into wall)?
  12. I'm the new proud owner of a Konvas 2M. This is the auction: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...em=280033953276 It's currently in the mail... so I haven't actually had my hands on it. That said, I'm unsure what cord goes into what, and generally how things are setup so I wanted to make sure I'm good to go when it arrives. Now, for anyone experienced here.. taking into account what is in the pictures of what I'll be receiving, what necessary cords or converters or plugs or anything will I need in addition to what I'll receive in the auction will I need to power and/charge the battery and unit in the US? Thanks in advance. Sy
  13. Hello everyone. Recently purchased a K-3... I also plan to pick up a Konvas in the near future. I need a light meter now. Can anyone recommend a few? Thanks!
  14. How do I go about taking off this lens on the K-3? Do I mess with the tiny screws? or just twist very hard? I don't want to break it :) Sy
  15. Just a few hours too late I'm afraid. However, I'd be interested in taking those lenses off you, though I'm not sure you'd be willing to break up what appears to be a great package deal..
  16. Anyone here have some 16mm film options for someone with $2500? Requirements: *crystal sync (or at least upgradable to crystal sync) *reflex viewfinder *ability to be upgraded to s16 later on *have the ability to hold many lenses (or at least readily adaptable with conversion mounts) I've been kicking around the idea of a K-3, as they are cheap, but really I'd be kind of cornering myself as its nearly impossibly to attempt sound on one of these.
  17. Hey everyone. Great forum... you guys really seem to know your stuff. Friendly too. Killer combination. Anyhow, I'm looking into getting the "infamous" krasnogorsk-3. I've flirted with attempting to procure one through Ebay, but I'm incredibly apprehensive about it. Instead, I think I'm going to buy one from someone who specializes in them. So.. then, anyone purchase one from k3camera.com? This guy sells package deals that include a K-3 converted to S16 for 900 bucks. This is roughly triple the cost of the average ebay "vanilla" k-3, without the worry of accidently picking up a dud. I'm just curious if anyone here has used these specific k-3's from this guy, and if so, whats the quality like? does everything line up? any snags? In fact, if you know of any reputable dealer that sells converted S16mm cameras, I'd love to hear about those as well (sync, or no sync). I rented "Bad Taste" this evening, Peter Jackson's initial foray into filmmaking.. shot on 16, dubbed sound.. it was great! It inspired me!
