  1. Awesome, thanks so much for the info... I would have never known about the batteries on the S800, I really appreciate it!
  2. So nevermind on this topic... I found my answer talkin to the people in the Kage at my school... turns out it's gonna be expensive and extensive, both things I don't wanna deal with right now... too bad cause it's a sweet camera otherwise!
  3. So I figured out the answer to my galvanometer question ( http://www.cinematography.com/forum2004/in...showtopic=16960 ) and found out that is much more expensive and involved than I want to go through right now... so I went lookin for some other cameras and have found a few that I really like but was wondering if anyone could offer me some info on the best buy: Nizo 800 Pro Schneider-Kreuznach Multicoating MACROVARIOGON 1:1,8 / 7-80 mm auto / manual zoom at 2 speeds split-image focusing frame rates: 18, 24, 54 fps, singleframe, time lapse mode manual / auto exposure (+1 correction) daylight filter, fades battery test button Nizo S800 Schneider-Kreuznach VARIOGON 1:1,8 / 7-80 mm auto / manual zoom at 2 speeds split-image focusing var. shutter frame rates: 18, 24, 54 fps, singleframe, time lapse mode manual / auto exposure daylight filter, fades battery test buttons contacts for several additional features (remote control, cable release, flash contact..) Nizo S560 Schneider-Kreuznach Variogon 7-56 mm. f/1.8. Reflex viewfinder with split image rangefinder. Variable shutter, auto dissolve. 18, 24 and instant 56 frames per second. Single frame. Time laps with flash synchronisation. Sound synch impulse socket for mains use. Sun hood eye cap Canon 518 SV 9-48mm Lens auto / manual zoom 18, 24, 36 fps, singleframe manual / auto exposure daylight filter Thanks again for any information and opinions on this! I really appreciate it!
  4. So I have the opportunity to buy a Nizo 156 Macro for $25 from a my Aunt's Co-Worker... He says the camera motor, shutter, and electronic zoom work just fine. However, both the automatic exposure meter and the manual exposure control is NOT functional because of a defective galvanometer. Can that be replaced fairly easily and would a new galvanometer be readily available? I'm not sure if they are all the same only differing in needle and disk types or if they are more specialized than that... Please let me know any thoughts on this! Thanks so much!
