  1. I have to admit that I've always felt like the lens conversion was a bit of a compromise. I would actually prefer to replace it with one of the newer lenses engineered for Super 16. However, I can't really see limiting myself to just a portion of the zoom range, and the conversion itself is a big enough investment that I probably can't afford to both convert the camera and replace the lens at this point. Of course the PL conversion will alow me to use a whole new range of lenses if I need to rent them for a specific job. Any contact info for Duclos Lens? Thanks Roger
  2. Thanks for the input. In my checking around P&S and Axel Broda have come up seveal times as good options. Another is Cinema Technic in Miami. This is the first I've heard of Gecko Cam though. I'll have to check for a web site for them. I also understand that Visual Products, the used equipment dealer in Ohio, does a conversion. Don't know much about thiers vs any of the others though. I'd like to avoid the time and expense of shipping overseas, so Axel Brode sound like he might be my best bet. Any thoughts about the lens conversion. Same place that does the camera? Roger
  3. I have an SR II and Zeiss 10-100 zoom that I would like to convert to super 16. I've come across quite a few places that say they can do the job. Prices and turnaround time vary quite a bit. Does anybody have any experience, good or bad, with any of these conversions. Any recomendations would be welcome. Also any warnigs of who I should not use. Thanks
