But for each forum different rules In Usa the law authorise you to say everything (like facism bullshit) but there are many USA forum where you can't. So the point is website moderators modify or choose the level of freedom. and the moderator aren't particulary "educated" to do that ... they just think "this is acceptable, or this is not" But in france, england, usa etc...for the LAW in your sentence if you say "maybe" or the conditional mod it is NOT diffamation or slander. But ask some (not all) moderator to understand that...
