  1. Hi Everybody, I am trying to find some student priced class A displays. I prefer doing my corrections my self and present a lab with files ready to print. Done it a couple of times now using Color on an Imac and it works surprisingly good. I am looking for an upgrade though. The only problematic thing is to find a decent monitor with a decent price tag. I would very much appreciate any help. MichaƂ
  2. in the new final cut studio they've added the grading tool, color, i've been playing around with it for last couple of days and it's seems to have huge possibilites. I'm wondering where is the catch, cause it offers more than lustre from what i've seen, it works in 2k and is rediculously cheap. It really sounds too good to be true, doesn't it?
  3. On what machine can you transfer 2 perf movment. None of the spirits can, doesn't it?
  4. Hi, i've been shooting some comparison tests with the 18 and 19, pushed it 1 and 2 stops. There isn't much difference between them. It is sharper than 18 but the grain seems to be a little bigger, which is a suprise. But generally it's pretty much the same thing. And if you're thinking about pushing, 18 seems to have a bigger dynamic range after Push 2. I like the older stock better, or there's simply not much to like about a new one. Vision 2 after a tiny face lifting. I can't show you the tests cause they were contact printed. But maybe some day the lab is goingbe generous enaugh to scan it for me. Good luck with your film
  5. sorry, the previous post was ought to goon a different forum. Where you thinking about reversal film. The colors are absolutely fantastic. Check it out. Kodak manufacters some. don't remeber the number. But due to a steeper gamma the colors are as vivid as it gets.

  7. i'll be doing some travelling shots in which the same person is going to multiplicate through out the shot, the scenery is going to be changing and the lighting as well. If anybody knows of some dos and don'ts, i'd be thankful
  8. i'm gonna be shooting a black and white film in a not distant future, looking for advice, what advantages can be expected from shooting on color stock except for less grain and greater contrast control in DI. Some Ideas? Furthermore looking for tips in controling b&w footage on a color print, any methods or tricks to avoid any green, magenta, sepialike accents on a print?
