  1. Hi all, I'm planing to machine a 15mm rod support system so that I can mount industry standard matte box and follow focus system on my S16 Eclair NPR. My question is does all matte box and follow focus system using 15mm rod have the same specification? Meaning does the distance between the two rods the same? And if I was to build one base on Cavision matte box can it also be use with other brands like Arri, Chroszeil, Petroff, etc??? And what is good size matte box/filter for Super 16? I hope this make sense? Thank you everyone and Happy New Year ;)
  2. I've tested at 50P, but fail to see results in slow-mo. If you can run me through the buttons to press, i'd appreciate it. Best, Kal At what rate did you set the playback to? IF you set the camera to shoot at 50p and set the playback to 24p it should be in slowmo.
  3. I knew it!!! Thanx guys just want to make sure.
  4. I'm thinking about renting the redrock M2 on a shoot. The person who's renting me the gear told me that the adapter only takes "nikon pl mount" slr lens. What is the different between the nikon pl mount and the regular nikon mount lens? Is it the same mount on all Nikon's DSLR camera? help pleasee...
  5. Hi there, Does anyone know of the significant differences between CMOS and CCD chips? Which is better? Or are they the same but just with different name? Also any idea why JVC GY HD series only stop at 720p and not 1080? And if you have $4000 would you buy the Sony HVR-Z1U/E or something else? Thanx guys/girls.
  6. Tawin (do you have only one name or did you overread the explicit request to register a username with your full first and last name??), you might want to consider an Eclair ACL as well, as it is sort of a morph between the NPR and Aaton. S16 conversions are a bit problematic due to the mirror reflex design used, but are feasable. Thanx u guys for input.. Yep, I guess I forget to fill in the blank for the last name, will do it right away. I already own an NPR and sticking with it, this is just a conversation I had with a friend and just wanted to know what you guys think. Anyway, I'm thinking about getting my NPR overhaul and maybe upgrade to S16, I did some Q&A with both Mr. B. O' Doherthy and Mr. Zorzoli at Optical Electro House and right now having a dilemma of where to go. Bernie gave me a cheaper quote but OEH is closer to home and I can deliver the camera myself. Any advice or ideas???
  7. Just wondering which 16mm camera would you prefer if you have to choose between Eclair NPR and Aaton LTR? Any ideas? <_<
