I just got this 16mm Eclair NPR Camera and a fresh battery. I have read the manual back and forth and the only thing I get is a red light on the camera, so I don't really know if it works or not. Can anyone advise me on what to do?, any place in London where I can take it to for a check or what?. Also another question how much is it to convert the 16mm to S16mm?, Any good place that has student discount?. Best Regards, Ivan

I'm a film student in London and I just got this 16mm Eclair NPR. I have no idea how to make it work. I read the manual back and forth and still nothing happens except, yes I get a red light when I plug the battery, that's it. Any idea of how to get this machine to work? Another question? What would be the best place in London to get your Eclair checked and maybe converted to S16mm?. Would 13lb Bogen 501 Fluid head be way to weak for the Eclair?, maybe it would be 'just'OK. I have a Canon 1410XL-S and I'm getting a Nizo 3 Schneider-Kreuznach Ultrawide Lens. The thing is the Camera's lens is 65 so I need a 65-67 step up ring. I have looked all over for it with no resaults. Any advice or ideas? Has anyone been in simular shoes...... :(
