  1. lately i have been following alex proyas (the first "crow" director) and his team with the unreal engine and it looks promising. www.vidiverse.com
  2. i love the hd110u with the redrock m2 and nikkor glass
  3. i just got the hd110u jvc, an idx battery, redrock m2 with nikkor 50mm 1.8 i think it'll do for my indie films
  4. it takes a long time to move up the ladder. i suggest doing your own projects, or taking part in semi-large projects that are shown in major festivals. garnish some attention or awards and you'll get DP jobs. the same goes for directing and producing. it's all really a matter of how you look at it. safe and steady? or balls out risk it all and do it yourself hoping that what youre doing is good work; without gaining that slow but steady education you would within a unionized camera dept.
  5. A mentor in the industry once mentioned that if the studio exerts more control to your project, you have a right to ask for more money. I know this sounds ridiculous--as it makes no sense to me yet--but has anyone heard of this?
  6. a friend of mine has put an array of adaptor rings and uses leica lenses on his hd250u + m2 setup i just picked up a hd110u + redrock m2 package, i cant wait to mess around with it. i also plan to use different lenses, but for my budget in the time being, nikkor lenses will have to do. hasselblad glass is pricey =)
  7. i've decided to make my own out of aluminum sheets. this way i can control how big it is rather than paying 600+ dollars for one.
  8. Just wanted to know; did a search on Google and found very little.
