  1. Ha! You got that right We'll see, I'm actually talking to the director about modifying the script, but don't want to be the guy who says 'no can do'. Exploring my options here. The blooms are already dotting the landscape, and photography isn't supposed to start for another 2 weeks- I'm hanging right now for a phone call about whether I should get my aerials at tomorrow's sunrise, or wait and embrace the unavoidable spring. Thanks for the frosty breath tip, but I'll leave that to the computer guys, I guess. Yes, sound design will be leaned on heavily, I imagine we'll have to do ADR on all exteriors to keep the chirping birds out and pray for rain... everyday... for the next 7 weeks... without a break to let all these flowers do anything with it all... or change the script. I just came on to this project, they'd started last winter with a different DP and basically scrapped the job after a week of shooting. Now I'm here, first week on the job.
  2. Anybody have thoughts on shooting a wintertime film a little late in the year? Obviously keeping the dogwood blossoms out of the frame, but what about the lighting? My first thought is the winter light is softer and more blue. I figured I'd ask the production designer to keep elements to black, grey, and bluish grey - but what else can I work on? Filters, lighting, sfx? Any thoughts or experiences would be greatly appreciated, thanks jso
