  1. hello can i know what is the ISO rating for sony DSR500 and how do we calculate it if we happen to know the details bout it in lux like for sony DSR500 it shows sensitivity f11 at 3200K at 2000 lux .... i checked on the iso to footcandle table but it showed 640 as the ISO for these values ,, pls help thanks
  2. hello David thanks a lot,,, so is 320 the ideal rating for a Z1U like we have 400 for sond D35 or D50
  3. hello John thanks for the advice,i know this method and i usually do that if im on a shoot when i have a new camera or a camera thats hired from a place i dunno,,,, my meter was with a friend of mine and i couldn't have done this test so i was hoping someone would tell me at what ISO ideally it is rated ,, well one more thing John,, does the rating change if the camera is used ??i mean does it differ from new camera to a used one .. thanx abhijit abde
  4. Hello Laurent i thought so bout the grey card and i checked it with a newer grey card tooo but it still is giving a difference of .3 , is that all right practically ?? theoritically it must be the same with incident n spot ,, advise pls abhijit abde
  5. hello Chris u mean its ok if im getting that difference of .3 ?? and yea u r right bout some companies caliberating the grey card to 16% n not 18% .. thanx a lot nways abhijit abde
  6. hello like we set the light meter at iso 400 if we shoot on DV or Beta for eg DSR 390 or 400,, at what iso do we set the meter if we using sony Z1U .. thanx abhijit abde

  8. hi jonathan thanx a lot for ur input. but i really felt that on a grey card both the incident and the reflected spot should be almost same, of course if they differ now i will have a reading done n use either as and when it suits me. thanx again abhijit abde
  9. i bought a new sekonic L 758 cine,,,, my incident and spot reading differ by .3 when metered on a grey card,,, id like to know please if that much difference is fine and also should it be the same with my new meter or anyways thanx abhijit
