  1. I rang up Blue Audio the other day and he said that x ray effects on film are cumulative so, once or twice shouldnt be a problem, he also said that modern xray machines have little dosage, older machines would be used in poorer countries may still have bad consequences, but dont quote me on that!
  2. Would you have to mark the packet with something like "film do not x ray" etc?
  3. I will have about 6 tri x 200 d and about another 6 plus x 100 d. I was considering shipping them over to andec, but wont the xrays in customs zap the film?
  4. Thanks for the info, I hadnt have thought of nowhere lab. In your opinion which is the best option, sending the film over to Andec? I have heard that they are a good lab,
  5. Hi, was just wondering whether people could tell me their experiences (if any) with this shop in London. I dont really find them that friendly, but they seem ok, although I have had friends in the past that have bad experiences with them losing film that they were meant to develop. Is there any other places in the UK that develops super 8 and telecines it? I believe that most of the black and white super 8 gets sent out to Germany from the Uk to get developed - is super 8 even developed in the UK anymore? Thanks http://www.widescreen-centre.co.uk/Catalog...e_division.html
  6. Hello I was just wondering what people thought to the idea of this "competition" run by myspace in which the director, actors, crew, etc gets nominated by all of the myspace users to make a film with a £1million pound budget. I really like Robbie Ryan, who I think was the dp for andrea arnold's wasp as well as "cubs" on there, but I think the three shortlisted films are pretty strong; http://www.myspace.com/mymoviemashup
  7. True, I didnt think of it like that, susprisingly. I think I just need to build up my "repetoire," -
  8. I am in the UK, but actually I am quietly relieved that I did not get in as I would prefer to get stuck in making films I want to make without going through through the whole "schooly" thing again...but I will look into that, thanks
  9. Well I have received my rejection letter from my designated film school. I said to myself that if I do not get in this time I what I would have spent on going there actually making my own first few short films...anybody have any advice, it would be appreciated, thanks
  10. Hello, I was just wondering whether there was a specific film festival format? I am about to shoot on 16mm/super 8 so if you send your films in that have been telecinied would you show them on that particular DVD? Or do you also need to strike a show print? Thanks
