  1. Please give me your opinion. Thank you.
  2. Sorry I forgot to give you the link to the photos. Here it is: http://upload.tarad.com/images/574731eclairaclmag.jpg
  3. Hi, Please take a look at this ACL and give your opinion. S/N 10356, made in England and comes with: 1. 1-400 ft magazine 2. CP (Camera Products) Multi-speed motor 3. Angenieux viewfinder 4. Battery cable I've never used it since I got it. It needs to be serviced. 1. Can it be converted to Super 16 and would it be worth it? 2. If I want to shoot Super 16, should I sell this camera and buy another camera? Which camera would you recommend? My budget for the whole package including a set of very good prime lenses is under $10,000. 3. How much do you think this camera (with the above aceesories) is worth? Thanks in advance.
  4. Hi, Just wondering if it's neccessary after you bought a Super 8 camera. Also, do you have your camera serviced after using it for a period of time? If you do, how often should it be? And who would you recommend for the job? Thank you.
  5. What are the problems with the English model? I just found out that the ACL I got is English-made. It comes with a Cinema Products motor. Would that help? Thanks.
  6. That's ok, I've just found it on the side of the film gate. :P
  7. Hi, Just got an ACL 1 from Ebay. Can someone tell me where to locate its serial no.? The only S/N I see on the camera is on the Cinema Products motor. I think it's the motor's S/N, not the camera's. Thanks.
  8. Since I'm not gonna be shooting sound anyway, what are the features in the XLS that would be worth spending more money on? Thanks.
  9. I'm thinking about bidding these 2 items. What would be reasonable prices for them? Thank you. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...p;rd=1&rd=1 http://cgi.ebay.com/Eclair-ACL-Orientable-...1QQcmdZViewItem
  10. Oops! We posted about the same time asking and answering the same question. I've got the answer. Thanks.
  11. Thanks a lot for your wealth of ACL info, Ed! By the way, is this viewfinder compatible with the ACL on Ebay that I'm interested in since you said it's an ACL I?
  12. I forgot to say that I already asked the seller but he doesn't know what model it is.
  13. Hi, Could someone tell me whether this camera is an ACL I or ACL II? How much do you think it's worth? Thanks in advance. http://cgi.ebay.com/Eclair-ACL-16mm-Movie-...1QQcmdZViewItem
  14. Thanks, guys! Do you know how I can contact them? Do you have their web address, email address, phone no., etc.? The "one that they had that was the size of a large microwave that oculd do reversal and probably converted to neg", that's what I'm looking for. Yes, I might turn it into a buisness.
  15. Hi, I've come across a used Nagra 3 and a used Nagra 4. They are in a now-defunct film studio. The owner would sell them for about US$200 each. I might be able to get lower prices from him. I plan to shoot a 16mm film in the future and am wondering if I should get one (or both) of them or get a digital recorder like a Tascam tascam HD-P2 instead. How do you transfer sound from Nagra 1/4" reel to a digital format? How much would it cost? Thanks.
  16. Hi, I plan to shoot a MOS film. Which camera should get between these two? I know the NPR can do sync sound but the Arri S can't. I used the Arri S before and liked it. But in terms of image-quality, ease of use and weight, which one would better. Thanks.
  17. Hi, I'm wondering if there are working used ones around. Do you know where can I find them and how much would they be? Thanks.
  18. Hi, I'm new here and thinking about getting a Super 8 video transfer system like Workprinter or Tobin. Most of DIY Super 8 video transfer I saw always has some dirt or specks on it. Are there ways to thoroughly clean the film before transferring so you won't see them at all as if it's a transfer from a professional transfer house? Thanks in advance.
  19. Hello, I'm new here and am now looking for a good, cost-effective lab for 16mm negative (both B&W and color) processing & video transfer. Spectra has a good reputation with Super 8 but what about 16mm? Thanks in advance.
