Hi- I was thinking of purchasing a better lens for the bolex ebm that I have. The lens that came with it was a bell howell 17-68 zoom prism lens, which doesn't really help me out so much. I have the c-mount adapter for the camera, and I found a canon zoom 1:1.6 / 18-108mm c-mount for $80. I was wondering if anyone could offer their perspective on the subject. The lens I have seems to sell online for about 350 but the canon which is in excellent condition sells for 80 on ebay? I'm a bit confused. Is this a ridiculously good deal or am I crazy?

So I acquired a Bogen 3066 head because I wanted a tank to hold up the bolex ebm 16 and mag I'm shooting a music video with, but I can't attach the battery grip properly onto the QR plate because of the handle....Is there any way around this? I feel like the width of basically any plate is going to be too wide for me to attach the camera onto the tripod because of the handle. Help! Look, I've even attached an embarrassing picture of my noob-ness.

So I think the topic covered most of the post needed....The blue battery that came with my bolex ebm is done and done (of course, its that old) and I need a battery now that can hold a charge. Whats the best price I can expect to find for a battery? Further- does anyone sell them locally in nyc?

Hi- I was wondering if someone could answer a ? i have about a 400 ft magazine to use with a bolex ebm. Do I need to have the mm motor for it to work, or will it do fine without it using the built in electric motor on the camera. That way all I'd need to purchase to use 400' reels is the magazine?
