  1. Hello! i have this Rex 4 and i have never seen in another one those two small screws as shown in the picture has it been modified or something? also in the schneider cinegon 10 1.8 the close distanse focusing ends way further from the lenses 0.20 m. minimum. i dont think thats normal i have attached a picture.

  3. Well its damn pretty!!! the universal matter is a bit difficult i tried without success to make a matte box for a nizo the problem is that i dont want to override the grip (which carries the batteries) so that makes the distanse too much. have you considered that for your project? keep it going! super 8 mm as a threat!!! ;-)
  4. Ok heres what Ken Ken Paul Rosenthal has sent me. i managed some image but only after the process, fix, i bleached the film. thats because my films are heavilly fogged i think. anyway the results are uneven so nothing. but the procedure as K.P.Rosenthal suggests is in the attachment. kprbw.doc
  5. Nice topic i was always fascinated when i watched something shot anamorphic, widescreen in general. my approach to anamorphic is the following we move most of the time horizontally.i think in general horizontal spatial consiousness is more advanced to vertical.one can estimate easier length and width than hight (todays kids are more 3d oriented ;-) ) so maybe thats the reason it makes picture more pleasing. think of it.. each day how many times do you look or inspect space (throught your eyes, your personal camera) vertically?, unless theres is something that distracts you, a voice, some noise or a very interesting subject. i also agree to the fact that anamorphic gives wide aspect without distortion, which comes closer to eyes perception.
  6. Hello again! first of all thank you for the replies. i tried searching the net (kodachrome b/w etc) and i got lost in links about the discontinuation of the film blah blah anyway i followed martins instructions from the metadirectory but instead of using d-19 (high con) developer i used the d76. i thought high con was recommended for better results.so i expected at least some image, not with the optimum results, but alas.noting so maybe somethings wrong with film. ot os true that the colour couplers are not in the emulsion so three chemical bath are taking place for the color image to form, but before that it is developed as a b/w negative and i thought the result might be interesting so all this is based on experiment. my solution was fresh (i had it mixed the previous night and i worked on recommended 20c temp) the reason i posted was that the film looked exactly like before the process.(only some burned film hints just next to perf) anyway i will give another try and post the results meanwhile any suggestions or other paths to the procudure will help me! ps ill upload if it gives me any results alex
