I began viewing kurosawa movies some weeks ago, I saw Ikiru(to live) , Rashomon and i find them very different from the European and American movies i saw. I would like to see more asian movies , but i don't like the kung-fu or horror ones....Can someone recommend me some other movies?

My name is Adrian and i live in Romania. I want to be admitted in the Romanian Cinematography School, but the materials (and by that i mean books, comments and links) are pretty hard to find... can u recommend me some books to use for my training and where i can find them? i am sorry for occupying the time of those who want to help, but i need the help... thank u in advance
