Wow! That cold play video reminds me of the 80's....
The cold play video just looks like they were playing with different frame rates, but all were sync frame rates. Its a different technique than the Radiohead video.
The Radiohead video looks like its done at a very slow frame rate (or even slow handcrank) and Tom Yorke is moving very slow to compensate, thats what gives it its "jerky-ness", it also seems to be played back between 3-6fps (It might variate)
If your trying to match movement or dialoge, you can slow it down to the desired speed and have your actor move very slowly in sync to the soundtrack while recording at a speed that will match upon playback with the original soundtrack.
You can easily figure out that math.
