In 2020/21/22 Chris Tangey won 20 Drone Cinematography awards around the world including the coveted US$5000 prize for "Landscape" in South Korea's Jeju International Drone Film Festival. The world's largest online community of film and television artists, Los Angeles' Stage32.com, has called Chris "one of the most sought after drone cinematographers globally". But according to Chris: "you're only ever as good as your last gig"! Based in the small town of Alice Springs, the defacto capital of the Australian outback, his nearest city in any direction is 1000 miles distant. He has filmed all of the Australia vision for the Nathaniel Rateliff music video "Time Stands", shot on all 6 continents. Other aerial shoots include BBC's "Nomad-in the footsteps of Bruce Chatwin" under Director and film legend Werner Herzog, the 2 part finale of the U.S. 2020 season of "The Bachelor" for Warner Brothers, a feature documentary for Universal Pictures "Boy from the bush" under Director Kriv Stenders, a global TV commercial for Tourism Australia "Hemsworth", BBC's "Seven Worlds-One Planet", and a large amount of visual material for the National Museum of Australia's new permanent exhibition "Great Southern Land". Chris has won 4 gold and 4 silver plaques from the Australian Cinematographers Society (ACS), he is an Expert Instructor for Stage32.com, a signed Artist with Keycut stock and licenses much of his Australian stock footage globally.
