Hello everyone, I am confused about this dynamic range. I have been working on this paper about the ARRI D-20 and found out that the dynamic range is 60dB. they say this translates in 10 stops. But then i looked up the meaning of dynamic range in The Filmmaker's Handbook, and they only talk about sound. now can somebody please tell me what this dynamic range exactly means, and what the difference is in sound and image?? is there a correlation between the two? my best regards Elpo

Hi everyone, I am a Belgian student working on a paper about the Arriflex D20. I have been looking for information all over the net, but i can't seem to find much except on the Arri site itself. I have read some topics on this forum and it seems some of you have more info about it. I was wondering if anybody could direct me to some more information. Like for instance, what kind of lenses are compatible with the camera? What kind of matrixes are used, and what is so specific about them?? I hope to hear somthing soon. Regards Elpo
