Anyone have experience with the Arri 416 timecode module? After jamming the camera/attaching a sync-box, the TC light blinks... which means it's not actually recording the timecode onto the film. After consulting the manual, the error code it gives me corresponds to 'timecode led not recognized' and suggests to check the timecode module. I'm not sure where the timecode module is, and I have a hunch that the 400' magazines we're using aren't equipped with the module to burn the timecode in. Where is the timecode module located on the mag/camera?

Does anyone know of a good camera rental house in NYC that would allow me to visit and take a look at a camera system? I was recently booked on a show using the HDX900 and I've been reading through the manual, but I wanted to get my hands on one before the gig starts. I called 5 or so houses that have them but all of them said that they don't do anything like that, any suggestions?

Finally got to watch NCFOM again last night- such inspiring cinematography... One particular shot that stuck with me is after Anton blasts the mexicans in the hotel room and sits on the bed. The shotgun blast knocks a lamp onto the floor, motivating some haunting light shining upwards on his face that really makes Javier look evil. Genius in its simplicity.
