Please allow me to introduce myself. My name is David Ahn. I am a graduate student working on my PHD Degree in film at Dong-Guk University in Korea.
I also currently working as cinematographer in field and member of Moving Image Technology Association of KOREA.
I?m currently working on my graduate thesis on D.I.T (Digital Imaging Technician).
I was first introduced to such job position at the 2007 Santa Fe Digital HD Cinematography Workshop in Seoul Korea. As a film maker who?s always interested in exploring new HD technology I was fascinated by such field of work. As you might have assumed, this field of work such as D.I.T is very active in US and Europe film community but not so familiar to Korean market.
In Korea, HD technology was first applied in 2004 and as of today only 5% of Korean film is made with HD technology. To improve and embellish HD community in Korea, I feel that professional field of work such as D.I.T should be introduced and firmly established.
After began working on my initial research for D.I.T., I was introduced to your organization?s web site and felt that your organization is the most superior resource for my field of study and decided to ask your cooperation in my research.
If it?s not too much trouble, I would very much appreciate if you can provide me with an answer to attached questionnaire or perhaps other resources you can recommend me.
