  1. Hi Folks,

I’ve just spent the last few months rebuilding my photography website using Dreamweaver and Slideshow Pro. I’ve also added 2 new projects, which are listed under the headings Angkor and Underwater. I’ve tried to make the site nice and easy to navigate, and I’ve added captions. This is the first time that I’ve built a site using a CSS layout, rather than a standard HTML layout, so I’d appreciate any advice, feedback, constructive criticism, etc.

Though photography is currently my main focus, I am also working towards becoming a camera operator. While at university, I was fortunate enough to work on several films by BA Film students at The University of Westminster and The London College of Communication. These films were predominately shot on s16mm Aaton and Arriflex cameras, using various types of film stock and lighting equipment. Now that I’ve gained some confidence as a photographer, I’m hoping to do much more cinematography work. So, if you are a filmmaker, writer or performer and you would like to work with me, please do not hesitate to get in touch.

  2. Hi Chris,

If you’re still in London and you want to go to the cinema, I’d recommend The Prince Charles (just of Leicester Square). It’s cool, its cheap (much cheaper than any other cinema in Central London), and they show decent movies. Some shows are £3 (or thereabouts), others can be more expensive – I’d recommend calling them before you go. This is their website: http://www.princecharlescinema.com/

If you want to visit a good photography gallery, you should head down to The Photographers Gallery - http://www.photonet.org.uk/

I’d recommend that you make time to visit The National Gallery, The National Portrait Gallery, The British Museum, The Victoria and Albert Museum, The Science Museum, The Natural History Museum, and Tate Modern and Tate Britain. There are many other galleries and museums in London, but these are my favourites.

Hope you enjoy the rest of your trip.

    Regards,

    Thaddeus

  4. Yeah I probably went a bit overboard with my last post!

I forgot to mention Cindy Sherman - who is most famous for the Untitled Film Stills series (1977-1980). Her work is extremely relevant to this question, so I think you should definitely check it out.

  6. Hi Daniel,

    Nice photos.

Earlier this year I spent 1 month diving on Koh Lanta, and 1 month diving on Koh Tao, so it was good to see these pictures. Good job. While on holiday I shot about 40 rolls of Fuji Neopan with a Nikonos underwater film camera. It'll take me a few months to process the film and prepare the images for the web, but when I do I'll send you a link.

    All the best,

    Thaddeus

  7. Hi folks,

I’m a young photographer with serious aspirations of becoming a cinematographer. I’ve just launched my new website (woohoo!), so I thought it’d be a good time to introduce myself.

For examples of my photography, please visit www.thadpope.com

Please check it out and let me know what you think. I’m a novice website designer so I’d appreciate any advice, feedback, constructive criticism, etc. I’ve tried to make it nice and easy to navigate, but there are still a few things that I would like to add (captions, for example).

    All the best,

    Thaddeus.
