  1. hi, just curious about your film.where you have to shoot?what about the story?digital or film? i live in milan but i was born in calabria(LAMEZIA TERME). i know what you means when you talk about the scenery of this region. i'm a cinematographer. here you can seen same works: www.mto5.blogspot.com but if you search very talent boys with a lot of experience that have worked also in indipendent productions i i can suggest you this names: gigi martinucci mario amura luca coassin but they are from puglia-rome-milan. calabria is a land of emigration so you cannot found any cinematographers who lives there.i don't know even any famous cinematographer(with a lot of experience) who was born in calabria. give me more news.if i can help you(even if i will not the cinematographer)send me an email: shiny4@hotmail.com best regards ivan
  2. thanks guys, but i only need visual reference not technial suggestion also becouse i don't know the space where i have to shoot.
  3. hi, can you suggest me same videos or film or spot to see, where there is the most beautiful use of light(second you) in an office room? I prefer to see not dark /dramatic and cold/acid light.i would like to see a different option for a very happy and optimistic music video that i hate to shoot .....for now. thanks ivan
  4. ADAM, ONE OTHER REASON TO USE THIS KIND OF light is also becouse we have to shoot using a ccd camera(sony pd170). the register want to use minibrute or ACL light for backligt and he want to have this light in front of the camera. do you think that this could be a "disaster" for the vertical smear problem that have all ccd cameras(expecially this kind of cameras)?? i'm imagining one vertical line for each bulb of minibrute. for this case do you think that is still better AURASOFT THAN MINIBRUTE?? thanks ivan
  5. hi adam, thanks for your answer. i know your discussion that you have did on this forum about soft light.i think the same. i want to use aurasoft in a music video in the background. this want to be a cheap and estetical alternative to kinoflo wall O-lite i want to use one aurasoft 800 and 5 aurasoft 600. i want to use it : 1:for lighting in backlight 2:for is big circular form and becouse i want to use it as part of scenography 3:becouse a rent house here in italy rent it for cheap. 4:becouse it has an eggcreate(that reduce the beam to 50°) like briese light. do you can suggest me another light for my purpose?? i don't need a real soft light but something soft but a little punchy and whit a beautiful form. this is how i imagine the backgroung using aurasoft:
  6. HI, i'm searching article or technical info about the soft light AURASOFT. i would like to know the beam angle and if it has eggcreate and how much it reduce the angle of the beam. any info is welcome. thanks
  7. hi, i want to know how to calculate the Circle of Confusion to use with the pstechnik mini35 and the panasonic hvx200(1/3" ccd HD camera).the camera capture from the Ground glass a true 35mm depth of field but not with a 35mm format size but with a format size near a super8mm negative size. douglas hart suggest to use with 35mm format 1/700" for big screen and 1/500" for television works. but how to calculate the coc with this combination?? thanks ivan
