  1. hey thanks. nice shots - i think i'll go check out the flick as well.
  2. i know this might be a really stupid, seriously easy thing to achieve: how do i shoot a really clean silhouette of a person? thanks!
  3. i see what you mean. thank you!
  4. THANKS!! didn't even know what a plugin was, but the "read me" was very helpful indeed :o) and it works on fcp!
  5. hi, i'm trying to put a night vision effect on a segment i'm currently editing on FCP-5. how do i create such an effect. i can't reshoot :o( thanks much!! -al
  6. i 'd like to buy a mini dv camera that i can shoot an underground documentary with. i don't really understand the whole "chp" system. but i do know that i would like something where i could attach a microphone. of course, i'd like something fairly inexpensive. any suggestions? -a
  7. anyone know how i can contact chris doyle (of Wong Kar-Wai fame)? please email offlist: aledosius@yahoo.com much obliged, -ac
  8. thanks for the question AND replies. I'M learning much from this discussion. just wanted to ask, since so many are referencing XL1, wasn't 28 DAYS LATER (danny boyle dir.) shot with this camera? i loved the look of the movie. anyone wanna elaborate on how this was achieved? -ac
  9. thanks for your feedback! i'll check on it ;)
  10. would love to share and get feedback from the dv cinematography mavericks for my project (shot w/ panasonic dvx100): http://www.thecasper.com/ -click on YELLOW windows, start with first floor window (req. QUICKTIME) -click on LOGO for info. they're a bit provocative, but i'm realizing that's very relative, considering what kind of art you do. they're little slices of people's lives in hotel rooms. and why we engage in the most nonsensical when it comes to affairs of the heart. :)
