I am looking for a book and video to give to my girlfriend who is very passionate about learning cinematography, but has no experience or knowledge of where to start. What would be recommended to introduce her to this without being overwhelmed. I am basically looking for something like a "Cinematography Guide For Dummies" or something that can start with the basics of how a camera even works and goes from there unto actual technique. I appreciate any information you can give me ASAP as I would like to get her a book.
