It's not quite standard, it's like a special effect shot their is some care to take. I'm not talking about usual shot i'm talking about 1 inch deph of field, handled cam and a wild free actor sometime the feeling is a good .

Yes i know you 're right but to me it's a shame cause this kind of shot need some time to be made ,it's only about 5 minutes. Sometime i get the time but at last minute every thing have been changed and i hear motor! Our job is not all about tech the talking is very important but sometime the talking thing is much harder for me than the technic.

Hi, i was wondering what is the technics and psychological tips to handle that kind of situation: you are under 2'' D.O.F the subject is moving quikly and freely and you have time pressure and you don't have any 2nd AC.
-
You don't only loose light but almost everything, def, gamma, color density, color saturation, highlight control... that's only my point of view.

Thanks, i didn't touch to much to the green ccd gain but i tweaked the red and blue plus i adjust with multy matrix phase and hue cause i get a strange color saturated look but after grading i have been lucky it matched well with the subject. That was a very special adventure to work with an handycaped hd900.

Hi there, i work on a columbian documentary and the green ccd block seems to be damaged. Is there a way to crop the ccd out. I don't have any way to go to a rental house there. Thanks for sugestions.

Hi, is there a way to read and edit operator, scene and reference files on a pc? Thanks.

hello, did any one use the panavision hylen system? I know you can select the focus zone but can we use it with cam movement or is more a static pictural fx? Thanks
-
hi, you can use a plug in like twixtor from revision fx

thanks, i don't dive i will prepare the cam. Is it possible to switch red filters under water or is it more easy for the operator to switch the color from a remote using white balance or matrix control? I would prefer the glass filter series but is it convenient for the operator?

thanks for your riplies. I'm wondering what is the photographic approch with the water world? i know the lens get 25% magnified, the warm color get lost and the blur get special. for example if i had sharp lens like primo what kind of kodak film and filter work well to get a contrasted picture and not saturated with colors? it maybe sound wierd but the comparaison can help me to shape my gamma, matrix and knee curves. thanks again

hello everybody. i'm going to work with the 900 for an underwater film. i'm not experimented with underwater shooting, does anyone have some experiences to share with me? how should i prepare the cam, what kind of accessoiries is usefull (RM-B150 maybe with housing), what are the procedures to repare if the cam get wet, what kind of lens fit, what kind of paint setting work well with the caustic light and chroma?

hello, i used the AGDVX100AE squeezedmode at 25p to get the max resolution on the 4/3 ccd i captured it with premiere pro1.5 with the help of the dvstorm2. i get an unsqueezed (not anamorphosed) picture but i get on the dvstorm2 digital and analogical output a squeesed 4/3 picture not letter boxed. Does anyone know how to get a 16/9 pictures. thanks.

hi, i've seen the glove this summer, a short film shoted in 35 mm and 4.4.4 whith the origin prototype it was projected with a barco 2k and it was very impressive. does anyone have some news about this cam?
-
hi, did someone work with the genesis? Can we set the black gamma, master gamma, knee, etc...like we do with the 900 or is it more like the viper's film stream mode? Is it possible to record a 4.4.4 signal on the hdcam sr "magasine"?
-
what is the electronical control you have during the film sream mode? Even if it is raw signal 4.4.4 how does the camera react to high and low lights, what about the chroma? Whith the hd900 we control the picture with a 24''monitor and oscilovectorscope how do you control it on a viper if you get a sort of downconverted signal?
