Ive got an issue with an Icelight (version 1 not 2).

I cant find a manual online.

Basically I want to know what the green/orange/red light on it means.

Is this an approximate dimming level indicator? Or a battery charge level indicator?

I ask because it works okay when plugged in but when running on its own battery, at a low dim the indicator is green, but once I dim it up it goes yellow and at full it goes red and then the light turns off.

Im thinking this means the battery isnt taking a charge and its dieing when its dimmed above 80%.

Any advice appreciated.

Oh and the obvious answer is a polecat.

Magnets at each corner of the kino if there is any metal supports in the roof.

Of take the squid out of the housing and tape the bulbs up. You could probably tape the reflctor up too. Or put silver paper under the bulbs. Then tape teasers if need be.

Just have a link so you dont have to do this every time!!!

Oh and if you have the joker you can Octo it. Youd use that every day.

Jeeze. They make it sound like it has some amazing attachment. But its just a flood/spot knob? Such a ripoff. Must cost them nothing to make.

Oh is it that much smaller? If its a similar price and it fits bettet yeah get it. If you add a joker bug attachment later, that would be mega useful.

Also, since youre into weird stuff and dedos; the 400w dedo is always useful and tiny if youre rich in the future.

Youd only ever need a joker for an Octo or for Joleko. Cant imagine ever using one instead of an m18. I dont get why its a consideration.

I dont even get what the zoom attachment does. It just adds a longer focus throw to an open face?

Its not just Melbourne, ive never even heard of a Joker Zoomer. Theres a reason lighting guys all have the same standard gear. Its only DPs who want weirdo stuff that doesnt do anything better but is trendy.

Also the m18 ballast can be used when someone puts coffees on your 1200 ballast and breaks it.

Wanker dps want m18s. They dont care about the light or what it does as long as its called an m18. If you buy a joker tell them its an m18.

Kenfield, that Umbrella rig is mega weird.

If its bi colour is 4 times brighter than an older litepanel, that seems pretty good.

I assumed it has the same number of leds as a purely flood or spot model but apparently it has double. So it seems like a bargain of i could get one same price as a fixed focus one.

Im also wondering if it could be hacked so it could be flood/spot or both on at once to double the output (i believe when its between flood and spot it only turns on half of the total leds)
