I'm an animation director and my latest project will soon have me on software that can simulate live action camera techniques, focal lengths, depth of field etc. Before I start messing around with any of this, I want to have a better understanding of live action cinematography.
Is there a book out there that uses photographic examples from movies? Or perhaps one that explains what lenses were used for specific shots in classic or familiar films?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
