Even though I'm getting rid of most of my super 8 equipment I'm curious to what film stocks are available now days and how much? I spent most of my youth and college days shooting Kodachrome 40.. I loved the look and best of all it was relatively inexpensive last time I shot it. I spent somewhere in the neighborhood of 12 - 14 for a roll including shipping provided by Kodak. I also remember being able to send it to Dwaynes through Wal-Mart for a 5 bucks a roll.. I'm mostly interested in reversal but any info would be great on places you buy from and where you have the film processed. While I'm at it.. I have a Beaulieu ZM2 with external battery pack but if I was to venture down the road again, where's a great place to find a recelled battery that screws into the socket? I remember not being found of having a power cord flopping around and a battery pack attached to my hip. Oh lord.. selling this stuff got me thinking about Super 8 all over again.

Greeting everyone, I just wanted to let you folks know of some equipment I will be putting up for sale on Ebay tomorrow.. it's been quite a long time since my days in college and film school and thought the equipment should find better use in another super 8 enthusiast and or young passionate film maker's hands. Ironically all my years since youth of shooting super 8 helped start my career as film editor.. and has kept me ever so busy since.. it's hard to part with the gear but someone will enjoy it as much as I did. The gear is as follows. 1 Elmo GS 1200 in perfect working order. 1 Nizo 6056 with Wide Angle Lens adapter (beaulieu) in perfect working order also. 1 Sony Walkman WM - D6C Gebuhr Multisyn (modified by Gebuhr) 1 P1008 GS 1 R1008 AVS The Sony Walkman modified by Gebuhr records onto tape (via the R1008 AVS switch) a 1000hz pulse every time the camera fires off one frame of film sent via the flash (sync) socket. And when Sony Walkman is hooked up to Elmo Projector via the P1008 GS.. it allows you to play back your recorded audio in sync with the film. This setup also works with the Bauer A610 Projector.. This is really cool setup.. when sound film was discontinued by Kodak this setup was developed.. I shot a ton of films this way.. it made weekend viewings with friends and film buddies a blast. The Nizo 6056 is super quiet.. purrs like kitten so it made recording sound very simple. Once again I'm really hoping the equipment finds it's way into some good hands.
