  3. I agree with Sanjay. Making your own gear can be more expensive than over-the-counter. In fact, if you value your time at all, then its definitely less expensive to buy over-the-counter. However, if you are very particular about your work, and enjoy challenging yourself, making your own rig will be right up your alley.

  4. This has been an interesting problem solving challenge. Best guess I can come up with so far-- silent metronome on an iPhone or similar. let's say you get it to blink 1 per second. each blink corresponds to a "tie" in the dolly track. more than likely the ties in the track are at even distances. if you need your dolly grip to speed up, tell him to change the metronome to 1.2 blinks per second, and the tip of his foot needs to hit the "tie" on every blink. this will be pretty accurate as long as you give him 10 minutes to practice beforehand.

This was my backup gyro which has served me well and reliable the entire time I've had it. I would love to keep it but my camera system is getting larger and larger, and I have to upgrade to a much larger gyro. This gyro is great for any camera system under 11 pounds. Everything in the photos is included. This is a great kit with all you need to get started with stabilized camera motion. This kit retails for over $4,000 from Kenyon Labs.

It features the new body style by Kenyon. It underwent a complete rebuild by Kenyon Labs in May 2012, which means they basically give you a new gyro since they re-build the entire thing with new bearings, new frame, new caps, and hermetically seal and evacuate the entire gyro. The upgrade cost $535. I have the original paperwork if you'd like.

The battery has a heavy-duty cordura belt pack case, which is great for keeping the battery snug on your hip. The entire system has XLR connections, which make it ideal for keeping all the connections tight with accidental release. Also comes with 3/8" tommy bar and 1/4" tommy bar, for use with big and small cameras. There's also some extra hardware in case you need it.

    Included in this kit:

    Kenyon KS-8

    AC battery charger

Kenyon KP-6 Inverter with on/off switch

    Battery pack w/ belt loop

    12V adapter

1/4" and 3/8" tommy bars plus hardware

Pelican Storm Case with foam cutout

  7. This tripod is brand new. I bought it for a special gig but then the gig didn't happen so I'm stuck with this having never used it. Its a great head that was recommended to me by many professionals working in the business. The photos in the pictures are of the actual unit you are bidding on. As you can tell everything is brand new just like when you order it from a retail outlet. buy it here and save a few hundred bucks. I'm also offering a 14-day money back guarantee if you are not completely satisfied with the head, just return it and I will refund your money. I'm very confident you will enjoy this tripod. Comes with everything you see in the photos plus the Manfrotto padded foam bag

Price is $1200 . You can write to me at jason@cinemaoxide.com
