Hi , im currently renewing (dusting of ) some camera gear i have and i need to paint some parts , its saturday and i cant reach my camera mechanic ( guess its sane not to work on the weekend :) ) , so i bother you guys on the forum , what the is the name of the black paint process to get that black crumply texture on the cameras ? i need to paint a few scratches and some cameras completely , can i do it at home ? do the parts have to go in a paint oven ? i have cameras that the finish goes from more rough to less .. how do you achieve this finish ? thanks and have a nice weekend . jonas
  6. Hi , i have the same camera , sending it to service is the best thing to do , but before that you could put the camera in a jar full of rice , this is a poor man silica gel bag option , i have done it twice with my camera and it works , do remove the batteries and be careful not to get any rice in the camera or the gate , what i do is put the camera inside a net / silk stoking and then in to a big jar , leave it for a few days , that might help a bit .. you should also get a new O-ring for the door , it might be that its not sealing completely .. cheers!! Jonas
