The best price we've found for a 3000 is $1000 for body only with 4 AB Hytron 140s. I can't imagine why you wouldn't be able to rent this out on a regular basis if you can get the word out and you're reliable. Just make sure you've factored in the cost of having the appropriate insurance coverage for being in the rental business.
